Monumental day as the Zero Carbon Bill passes with unanimous support. We have long supported the idea of a climate change commission to advise Government on the setting of climate budgets to wrestle down our greenhouse gas emissions.
There are a few areas where the bill could be improved and should we have the privilege of governing in 2020 we will make those changes. But for today this bill was too important not to support over such issues. I was very pleased to speak in the debate.
