Born in the East Coast Bays, I have been living in the area for over 30 years. I raise two children with my husband in Okura and am heavily invested in my local community.
After attending Rangitoto College, I went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours at the University of Auckland. I have worked in a number of export sales roles for New Zealand manufacturers and have produced a range of local television shows, including Piha Rescue.
I spent four years working for the former MP for East Coast Bays, Hon Murray McCully. I've helped thousands of locals, businesses, and organisations navigate their way through various government departments. This was the pointy end of policy and reinforced my passion for this community and for solving problems.
As the new MP for East Coast Bays, my priority is to ensure we accommodate for growth in the electorate. My initial focus will be on:
Delivering more classrooms for local schools, some of which are nearing capacity
Advocating for better transport solutions
Applying pressure to clean up the waterways that feed into local beaches
Helping protect our marine reserve for future generations
Preserving the precious green spaces in the electorate
I'm also committed to continuing my work with the many local environmental community groups… to muck in, to help, and to promote the work being done. In my maiden speech, I noted that “our greatest treasure is this beautiful land, but we can't take this for granted. It’s a priority for us to restore and protect this gift”.
My team and I, based in Beachfront Lane, Browns Bay, are here to advocate on your behalf as a local constituent and look forward to helping where we can.
