About the Event

For my next SuperBlues I have another double team coming to speak - Denise Lee and Dan Bidois. Both are first term MPs who are bringing a lot to the table and working hard in their electorates.

Denise Lee is MP for Maungakiekie.

She was elected to Auckland Council in 2013, and served on the council until the 2017 General Election, when after a successful campaign, she entered Parliament as the new MP for Maungakiekie. Denise currently sits on the Education Select Committee and is the National Party spokesperson for Local Government (Auckland).

Outside of her parliamentary duties, Denise is on the board for the Sir Peter Blake Marine Education Centre, and is a Patron for the Onehunga Historic Society and the Maungarei (Mt Wellington) Cadet unit.

Dan Bidois is MP for Northcote.

Prior to Parliament, Dan was a Strategy Manager at Foodstuffs North Island Limited. Dan has over 9 years experience working as an economist and strategist in New Zealand, Europe and Asia. He spent three years as an economist with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), two years with Deloitte Consulting and time with several economic think-tanks in Auckland and Kuala Lumpur.

Dan became MP for Northcote after winning the Northcote By-Election in June 2018. He is the National Party’s Spokesperson for the Future of Work, Associate Spokesperson for Industry Relations and Workplace Safety and serves on the Social Services Select Committee.
