Reasons for the work and what is happening?
As part of our ongoing road maintenance we will be upgrading this area of road with a concrete subbase and asphalt surface, we will then reinstate the road islands. Work will start down the northern side first (from Carlisle Rd house No. 73 to Deep Creek Rd House number 02), then repeating on the southern side.
How will it affect you?
Residents within the work area are asked to park outside of the work zone as vehicle access to your driveways will be unavailable for up to 5 days. Please see parking options below.
During construction, Carlisle Road will be a one-way traffic flow from the west and Finchley will have no access, please follow detours provided. Then final works will be undertaken with a stop/go operation.
Temporary Bus Stops will be provided a short distance away for Services 3039, 3048, 3046, 3044, 3037 and 3042.
Emergency access will always be maintained.
We will provide a safe route for pedestrian to use.
This type of work involves machinery which can create noise, vibration and dust. However, we will use industry best practice to keep these to a minimum.
For your safety, please keep young children and animals well supervised and clear of any work area.
These works will be undertaken as quickly and quietly as possible but can be affected by weather.
